Inventive. Collaborative. Transformative.
Broadway Bound Interns are current, or recently graduated high school students interested in taking the first step towards a career in professional theatre administration or production. Interns should be interested in working in a highly collaborative environment and ready to take on whatever comes their way. While interns should have some basic experience backstage or onstage, the internship should be seen as an opportunity to learn and further develop the administrative, performance, or technical skills they already possess.
Our interns are essential team members with direct supervision from the camp director, there will be an outline of most of their responsibilities. Additionally, they are afforded many opportunities to learn how the company operates as a whole. Interns will interact with staff, campers, and guest artists regularly, have networking opportunities with fellow interns, and be offered educational forums with company leaders. At the end of their time with Broadway Bound, all interns should have a sound understanding of the industry, and a better outlook on whether or not a career in theatre production may be right for them.
Prospective interns should have good communication skills, good working with kids of all ages, be a leader, fun, optimistic, and positive. Interns will be paid a stiphen of $150 with the possibility of tips. Interns should be able to commit Monday through Friday 8:30am - 2:30pm and both productions.
Interns should submit a comple Intern application with headshot, personal bio, two letters of reccomendations, and a summary of why you would be a good intern no later than FEBRUARY 1ST, 2012

Broadway Bound offers two different Summer camps for students to choose from. There is the performing arts camp for students who want to perform in a musical and a visual arts camp for students interested in behind the scenes work.
Without designers actors would be walking on a bare stage, without costumes, and in the dark! At the design camp students will spend their mornings in art classes. They'll become real artists as they learn about drawing, perspective, color theory, and other tools that will teach basic art skills. In the afternoons they'll work on designing the sets, props, and costumes for the show. Daily they will participate in a dance, music, or drama class. Design Camp sessions are one week long and end with an exhibition of the students' work.
Performing arts campers will spend their mornings rotating between dance, drama, and music classes. They'll piroutte and leap in dance class, transform into a variety of wacky characters in acting class, and sing like a bird during music. Each afternoon is spent rehearsing for the musical. The actors will also participate in visual arts workshops to learn about set and costume design. Camp sessions are one week long and end with a musical theatre performance.
